Komodo Modo-Modi, Mascot SEA GAMES 2011 0

Indonesia SEA Games Organizing Committee officially launched the 2011 SEA Games mascot Jakarta and Palembang Theatre Modo-Modi in my homeland Taman Mini Indonesia Indah Jakarta, Monday (25 / 4).
Modo-Modi is nothing but an animal native to Indonesia, Komodo and is the largest lizard in the world. This launch also coincides with the 200 days prior to the biggest sporting event in Southeast Asia.

The same statement also said Chairman INASOC Rahmat Gobel. According to him, need to work closely with all parties to the SEA Games in the country could be run successfully as expected. "Success of the SEA Games is not just a task Menpora, KONI and INASOC but our duty, Nation and State of Indonesia. It is time we unite for the sake of glory Red and White," he said.
At the launch of the mascot is done in addition to ceremonial events also enlivened by the singers and bands that have had a name in the country including The Cangcuters, Vidy Aldiano, Wayne, Lil and Nuno, Delon and Judith.
The launch of the mascot Modo-Modi apart do in my homeland Theatre Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) were also performed at Roundabout Hotel Indonesia (HI) in Jakarta and Palembang.
SEA Games 2011, November 11 to 25 conducted in two places, namely Jakarta and Palembang, followed by athletes from 11 countries namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei Darussalam, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines and Timor Leste.
The number of sports that dipertandingan by 43 branches. Of that amount Palembang which is also the place of the opening and closing of the SEA Games will host 22 matches Jakarta branch and 22 branches (football done in two places)
Of the 43 sports will be contested at the SEA Games XXVI, there are two new branches in Indonesia, which competed and Pentaque Vovinam. Both branches will be competed separately in Jakarta and Palembang.
As the host, athletes who will go down in the SEA Games 2011 target is able to achieve many gold Medalist and able to become the overall champion of the biggest sporting event in this country.
